Hi @Conuremum ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you've already set up your HP ENVY 6430e and installed the HP Smart app, but it's not printing despite showing the documents in the print queue. Let's troubleshoot this issue:
1. Check Printer Status and Connectivity
- Ensure that the printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your devices.
- Check the printer's screen or HP Smart app to confirm the printer's status is "Ready."
- Try printing a self-test page from the printer's settings (you can usually do this from the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app).
2. Clear the Print Queue
Sometimes, jobs in the print queue can get stuck.
- Open the Print Queue on your computer (search for "Printers & Scanners" in Windows 11, then select your HP ENVY 6430e and click "Open Queue").
- Cancel all print jobs in the queue.
- Restart the printer and the computer.
3. Reinstall the Printer
A reinstallation can often fix connectivity issues:
- Open the HP Smart app and remove your printer from the list of devices.
- Then, add the printer again via the HP Smart app or by going to Settings > Devices and selecting Add Printer.
- Alternatively, you can reinstall the printer driver through HP Support Assistant or download it from the HP website.
4. Check for Print Spooler Issues
The Print Spooler service might not be running, causing print jobs to remain in the queue.
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Scroll down to Print Spooler and ensure it's running. If not, right-click it and select Start.
- If it's already running, you can try restarting it.
5. Update Printer Drivers
Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause printing issues:
- Open Device Manager (right-click on the Start button and select it).
- Find your printer under Printers, right-click it, and select Update Driver.
- Alternatively, download the latest driver from HP's support website and install it manually.
6. Check for Paper or Ink Issues
- Ensure there is paper loaded in the tray and no paper jams.
- Check that the ink or toner cartridges are properly installed and have ink.
7. Try Printing from a Different Device
- If possible, test printing from another device to rule out issues with the original device or printer setup.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
