Hi @Gilbert64,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to connect your HP DeskJet Plus 4100 to a new router and resolve the "offline" status, follow these steps:

Restart Devices: Turn off your printer, router, and computer. Wait for a few minutes, then turn them all back on.

Reset Network Settings on Printer:

  • On the printer, go to the Control Panel.
  • Select Setup or Network settings.
  • Look for an option to Restore Network Defaults or Reset Network Settings. This will clear the old network settings.

Reconnect Printer to New Network:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer. If you don’t have it, you can download it from the Microsoft Store.
  • Make sure your computer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network.
  • In the HP Smart app, select Add Printer or +.
  • The app should detect your printer. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to your new Wi-Fi network.

Use Wireless Setup Wizard (if HP Smart app doesn’t work):

  • On the printer, go to the Control Panel and select Wireless or Wi-Fi settings.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to connect to your new SSID (Wi-Fi network).

Update Printer Driver:

  • Go to Device Manager on your Windows 10 PC.
  • Find Printers and locate your HP DeskJet Plus 4100.
  • Right-click and select Update driver to ensure the latest driver is installed.

Check Printer Status:

  • After connecting the printer to the new network, check its status on the HP Smart app or the Devices and Printers section in Control Panel.

If you follow these steps and the printer still shows as "offline" or the blue light continues to flash, make sure there are no issues with the new router, such as incorrect settings or network interference. You can also try to connect the printer using a USB cable temporarily to troubleshoot further.
