I have had this printer for a long time, and always just connected to the computer using a cord.   Now I have a new computer and would like to connect wirelessly.   I have gone through the set up menu and selected "wifi setup" // "pushbutton".   I press the WPS button on the router, then press OK as instructed.   The screen displays "connecting....." and then counts down from 2 minutes.   Then eventually says connection failed.    I ran a test network settings and it printed a page with the following summary:

Wireless on: pass

wireless working = pass

network name (SSID) Found =  fail

security = pass

printer settings consistent with wireless router settings = not run

no filtering = not run

connected = not run

signal strength = not run

other networks detected... = not run

wireless network detected = 2

disconnect count total = 17

disconnect count total last 24 hours = 17

disconnect count last hour = 7

channel = not run

Troubleshooting

THe HP printer cannot fint your ad hoc network.  Check..….

Configuration Summary

Network Name(SSID)  =   HPCP1525-02c9a7

Communication mode   = Ad-hoc

Authentication type = open system

Encryption = none

@SWANNY625 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to connect the printer with router.

Please let us know is it 2.4 or 5Ghz network.

Restart the printer, computer, and router.

1.       Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.

2.       Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.

3.       Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.

4.       Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.

5.       Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.

6.       Reconnect the power cord to the router. Wait until Internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
