To resolve the issue of your HP Ink Tank Wireless 410 series printer not connecting to WiFi, follow these steps.
Preliminary Checks
- Ensure the Printer is On: Make sure your printer is powered on.
- Check WiFi Network: Ensure your WiFi network is working properly and other devices can connect.
- Place Printer Close to Router: Place the printer close to the WiFi router to avoid signal interference.
Steps to Connect the Printer to WiFi
Using HP Smart App
Download HP Smart: Install the HP Smart app on your mobile device or computer.
- HP Smart for Windows
- HP Smart for Mac
- HP Smart for Android
- HP Smart for iOS
Open the HP Smart App: Launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer.
Add Printer:
- Click on the "+" sign or "Add Printer".
- Follow the prompts to select your printer model and connect it to your WiFi network.
Using the Printer's Control Panel
Reset the Printer's Network Settings:
- Press and hold the "Wireless" button and the "Cancel" button for about 3 seconds until the power button starts blinking.
Enable WiFi Setup Mode:
- Press and hold the "Wireless" button and the "Information" button together for about 3 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking.
Connect to WiFi:
- On your computer or mobile device, open the WiFi settings and connect to the printer's WiFi network (the network name starts with "HP-Setup").
- Once connected, open a web browser and go to 192.168.223.1.
- Follow the instructions to connect the printer to your WiFi network.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Restart Devices: Restart your printer, router, and computer/mobile device.
- Check Firewall Settings: Ensure that your firewall settings are not blocking the printer from connecting to the network.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can do this via the HP Smart app or the HP website.
- Manual IP Configuration: Assign a manual IP address to your printer via the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app.
