@JohnnyV2, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Network Connection Issues for HP Officejet Pro 8610!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're having trouble connecting your HP Officejet Pro 8610 to your network, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Restart Devices
- Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for about a minute, and then turn it back on.
- Router: Restart your router to clear any network issues.
- Computer: Restart your computer or any device you are trying to connect with the printer.
2. Check Network Connections
- Wireless Signal: Ensure your printer is within range of the wireless router. Poor signal strength can affect connectivity.
- Ethernet Connection: If using a wired connection, make sure the Ethernet cable is securely connected.
3. Run Wireless Setup Wizard
- On your printer's control panel, select the Wireless icon or open the Network Setup menu.
- Choose Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the instructions on the screen to connect to your network.
4. Update Printer Firmware
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Visit the HP Support Website to check for the latest updates.
5. Verify Network Settings
- Make sure your router operates in the 2.4GHz frequency band. The Officejet Pro 8610 may not support a 5GHz connection.
- Ensure the network name (SSID) and password are correct.
6. Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It can diagnose and resolve printer network issues automatically.
7. Reset Network Settings
- Reset the network settings on your printer to defaults and attempt the setup again.
- Navigate to the Setup menu on the printer control panel.
- Go to Network, then Wireless Settings, and select Restore Network Defaults.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
