Hi @Zoepw,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having trouble with your HP DeskJet 2622 printer not connecting to Wi-Fi, especially with the wireless light being off. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.

Check Power and Wi-Fi: Ensure your printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your devices. If the wireless light is off, the printer might not be connected to the network.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Press the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer's control panel at the same time and hold them for three seconds. This will reset the network settings.

Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  • If your router supports WPS, press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for more than three seconds. The wireless light should start blinking.
  • Within 30 seconds, press the WPS button on your router. This should establish a connection.

Reconnect via HP Smart App:

  • If you have the HP Smart app installed on your phone or computer, you can use it to guide you through the setup process again. Make sure to follow the prompts for connecting to Wi-Fi.

Check Your Wi-Fi Network:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is operational and that other devices can connect without issues. If you have a dual-band router (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), make sure that the printer is trying to connect to the correct band and that both bands have different SSIDs.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Sometimes, connectivity issues can be resolved by updating the printer's firmware. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • If you're still having issues, uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer drivers on your computer may help.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
