Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Cannot connect due to wifi settings being locked by administrator - need a reset, as I am the admin and didn't lock anything.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

Try these steps:

Access Printer Control Panel:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on.
  • Go to the printer control panel.

Navigate to Network Settings:

  • From the Home screen, touch the Setup icon (may look like a wrench or a gear).
  • Select Network from the Setup menu.

Restore Network Defaults:

  • In the Network menu, scroll down and select Restore Network Defaults.
  • Confirm the restore process if prompted.

Reconfigure WiFi Settings:

  • After restoring, you will need to reconnect the printer to your WiFi network.
  • Go back to the Network menu and select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your WiFi network.

Full Factory Reset (if needed):

If resetting the network settings does not solve the issue, you may need to perform a full factory reset.

Warning: Performing a full factory reset will erase all custom settings and preferences.

Refer to the steps on this link to restore factory defaults.

 

Updating Printer Firmware:

Sometimes, locked settings can be a result of outdated firmware. Ensure your printer firmware is Kindly Refer to this link to update your printer firmware.
