Hi @jaimosmiller,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reconnect your HP NeverStop 1001 printer to a new router without a WPS button, follow these steps.

Using the HP Smart App

Download and Install HP Smart:

  • If you haven’t already, download the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.

Prepare the Printer:

  • Turn on your printer. If it's in sleep mode, press the Cancel button to wake it up.

Reset the Network Settings:

  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer until the Wireless and Power lights start flashing. This resets the printer's network settings.

Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • Open the HP Smart app. It should automatically search for new printers.
  • If it doesn’t, click on the Printers tab and select Set Up a New Printer.
  • Choose your printer from the list and follow the prompts to enter your Wi-Fi network's password when prompted.

Finish Setup:

  • Once the printer connects to your network, the wireless light will turn solid.

Temporary USB Connection

If you're having issues with the app, you can connect the printer via USB temporarily:

Connect the Printer to Your Computer:

  • Use a USB cable to connect the printer to your computer.

Open Printer Settings:

  • On your computer, go to System Preferences (Mac) or Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners (Windows).
  • Add the printer as a USB device.

Change Connection to Wireless:

  • Open the HP Utility or the HP Smart app and select the printer. Look for an option to change the connection type from USB to Wireless.

Disconnect USB Cable:

  • After the change, you can disconnect the USB cable and use the printer wirelessly.

These methods should help you reconnect your HP NeverStop 1001 to your new router.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
