Hi guys, we recently upgraded our printer in one of our admin offices, from the HP m479 fdw to the new HP 4303 fdw. The ladies could print to the 479 from their mobile phones perfectly, without setting anything up. It just picked up the printer and they could print. Now that we have the new 4303, they are not able to print. When hey go for a print, it sees the printer, they send the print then nothing happens. when they want to print again, it cannot see the printer. Restarting their mobile phones, they can do the same again, but nothing ever prints. On the printer in the "jobs" section, it gets the prints, but it does not print, ever.
What is wrong, can someone please help?!?!?!?!

Hi @AllenVJ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be some compatibility issues or settings that need to be adjusted with the new HP 4303 printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check Printer Compatibility: Ensure that the HP 4303 printer is compatible with mobile printing and supports the same mobile printing technologies as the HP m479 fdw.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure that the firmware on the HP 4303 printer is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve compatibility issues and improve functionality.
- Check Mobile Printing Settings: Verify that mobile printing options such as AirPrint (for iOS devices) or Google Cloud Print (for Android devices) are enabled on the HP 4303 printer. These settings may need to be adjusted in the printer's control panel or web interface.
- Restart Printer: Try restarting the HP 4303 printer to see if it resolves the issue. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix connectivity problems.
- Restart Mobile Devices: Have the users restart their mobile devices to ensure that there are no connectivity issues on their end.
- Reset Network Settings: If the printer is connected to a network, try resetting its network settings and reconnecting it to the network. This can help refresh the connection and resolve any network-related issues.
- Check Firewall Settings: Make sure that there are no firewall settings blocking communication between the mobile devices and the printer. Adjust firewall settings if necessary to allow printing.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the printing issue with the HP 4303 printer in your admin office.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
