Until a month or so ago printing through AirPrint was perfect.

Now, when I try to print from Apple devices (iPad, iPhones 6 and 7, MacBook Air) to my HP Envy 5540, it shows 'looking for printer' but fails to print.

If I reset network settings on the devices, I can AirPrint again. However, this solution is short-lived so something odd going on triggered by what?

- I can print wirelessly from my iMac on which I have HP Smart installed (so not AirPrint..?).

- I've factory reset the printer and reconnected to my Wifi

- I had lengthy chats with Apple who say it must be an HP software/firmware issue. My HP account says I'm all up to date, though.

- HP don't want to help cos I'm well past my warranty.

Any help or ideas appreciated, please.
