Cant connect to the wifi on my Office Jet Pro 9010 - on the printout is says you cannot use the device's wireless function because it has been disabled.  The wifi feature seems to have disappeared from the touch screed display and keeps asking to connect with a cable.  Is it possible to email me the instructions to fix this issue?

Hi @Bobski62,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing connectivity issues with your Office Jet Pro 9010. I can certainly guide you on how to troubleshoot the issue.

Firstly, make sure that the wireless function on your printer is enabled. You may need to access the printer's settings to do this. Here are general steps that might help:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings. This can usually be found in the setup or tools menu.
  • Look for an option to enable the wireless function. It might be labeled as "Wireless" or "Wi-Fi."
  • If the wireless feature is disabled, enable it and save the changes.

If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to perform a factory reset on your printer. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings, so you might want to note them down before proceeding. Here's a general guide:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Setup or Tools menu.
  • Look for an option to perform a factory reset. This might be labeled as "Restore Defaults" or a similar term.
  • Confirm the action, and the printer will reset to its factory settings.

After the factory reset, you'll need to set up the wireless connection again. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on connecting to Wi-Fi.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
