Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new printer out of  the box.  It connected with WiFi instantly.  We put in the cartridges that came with the printer.  Those cartridges did not communicate with the printer.  Re-installed a few times.  nothing changed.  Went to target and two brand new HP cartridges (original ink) installed.  Same problem continues.  I want no part of this instant ink deal.  We're are gone for extended period of time over the year.  Not need for it.

Forgot to say something about these ink cartridges  I don't want to sign up for instant ink..  The new cartridges are HP original. ink

@okie66, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

To assist you better, what is the exact error about the ink cartridges?

To initialize the printer, you have to use the ink cartridges that came with the printer. It would be labelled as setup ink cartridges.

You don't have to enroll the printer in Instant Ink if you don't wish to. You can continue using regular HP ink cartridges to print.
