Hi @gwrsr,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Connecting your HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer to a new WiFi network is a straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you set it up:

Step 1: Prepare for Setup

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on and in a ready state.
  2. Locate your WiFi network name (SSID) and password. You will need these to connect the printer to your network.

Step 2: Reset Network Settings on the Printer

  1. Restore Network Defaults:
    • On the printer control panel, tap the Wireless icon or open the Network Settings menu.
    • Go to Restore Network Settings or Restore Network Defaults and confirm your choice. This will clear any previous network settings.

Step 3: Connect the Printer to Your WiFi Network

Open the Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • On the printer control panel, tap the Wireless icon or open the Network Settings menu.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard.

Select Your Network:

  • The printer will search for available networks. When your network name (SSID) appears in the list, select it.

Enter Your Network Password:

  • When prompted, enter your WiFi network password (WPA or WPA2). Make sure to enter the password correctly, as it is case-sensitive.
  • After entering the password, the printer will attempt to connect to the network.

Step 4: Install or Update Printer Software on Your Computer

Download the HP Smart App:

  • Go to the HP Smart app download page on your Windows 10 computer.
  • Download and install the HP Smart app.

Add Your Printer to HP Smart:

  • Open the HP Smart app and sign in or create an HP account if you don’t have one.
  • Click the Add Printer button or the Plus (+) sign.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your WiFi network.

Step 5: Confirm Printer Connection

  1. Print a Wireless Network Test Report:
    • On the printer control panel, go to the Network Settings menu.
    • Select Print Reports or Print Network Configuration Page.
    • Check the report to confirm that the printer is connected to the correct network.
