Hi there I have a problem with connecting my Deskjet to a wireless network using a smartphone. The wireless quick start guide tells you, on the printer press and hold the wireless and cancel button for 3 seconds which will put the printer in setup mode (the wireless button will continue to blink until the printer is connected to a WiFi network). So how do you connect? Tried virtual assistant all went on about was connecting via a PC even though I kept saying that I want to connect using my smartphone. Please somebody help me.

Hi,

You should restore the printer to Wi-Fi Setup Mode as described, and ensure your computer or mobile device is wirelessly connected to your home network.

Now open the HP Smart app and click the Plus sign, click Setup and Add a New Printer and follow the steps on screen to connected the printer to your wireless network.
