HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer

We recently updated our wifi. Now I can't get my HP Envy 6055e to connect to wifi.  The blue wifi light flashes, but it will not connect.  I've followed all the troubleshooting guides.  Any suggestions?

Hi @JoleneM,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To help your HP Envy 6055e connect to the new Wi-Fi network, try these steps.

Reset the Network Settings on the Printer:

  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons on the printer until the Power button starts blinking and the Wi-Fi light flashes blue. This resets the network settings.

Reconnect Using HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your mobile device or computer (if you don't have it, you can download it from HP's website).
  • Make sure your mobile device or computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • In the HP Smart app, click Add Printer. Follow the instructions to reconnect your printer to Wi-Fi.

Use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) (if supported by your router):

  • Press the WPS button on your router.
  • Within 2 minutes, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on your printer until it starts blinking.
  • The printer should automatically connect.

Check Router Settings:

  • Ensure your router's 2.4GHz band is enabled, as many HP printers cannot connect to 5GHz-only networks.
  • Make sure MAC address filtering is off or that the printer’s MAC address is added to the allowed list.

Perform a Power Cycle:

  • Restart your router, wait a minute or two, and then try reconnecting the printer.

If none of these steps work, performing a full factory reset on the printer may help.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
