Hi @Chrisfelix,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w printer to a new WiFi network after a change, follow these steps.
Using the HP Smart App
Download the HP Smart App:
- If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store (for Windows) or the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
Open the HP Smart App:
- Launch the app and sign in or create an HP account if prompted.
Add Your Printer:
- Tap on the plus sign (+) to add a printer.
- Select your printer from the list.
Connect to WiFi:
- Follow the prompts to connect the printer to the new WiFi network. You may need to select your new WiFi network and enter the password.
Using the Printer's Control Panel
Power On the Printer:
- Ensure your printer is turned on.
Reset Network Settings (if necessary):
- Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for about 5 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking. This will reset the network settings.
Press the Wireless Button:
- Press the Wireless button to enable WiFi Direct.
Connect to WiFi:
- Go to the printer's control panel:
- Navigate to the Setup menu (the gear icon).
- Select Network.
- Choose Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to select your new WiFi network and enter the password.
Note:
- Check Connection: After connecting, ensure the printer’s wireless light is on (not blinking), indicating a successful connection.
- Print Network Configuration Page: You can print a network configuration page from the printer to verify the connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
