I'm unable to connect new wifi moden/router to DeskJet2755e all in one printer. I do not have a WPS button on my modem/router. I merely upgraded to a better router. I have unplugged and replugged the printer and router and HP is not finding printer. Tried setting-up as new printer, HP cannot find saying I'm not connected to wifi. Had no problems connecting before. What else can I do to connect to wi-fi?

Hi @holly000000007,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP DeskJet 2755e printer to your new Wi-Fi router without a WPS button, follow these steps:
Step-by-Step Guide to Connect
Ensure Printer is Ready:
- Make sure your printer is powered on and not in an error state.
Reset Network Settings on the Printer:
- On the printer, go to Settings (gear icon) on the control panel.
- Navigate to Network and look for the option to reset network settings. This will clear any previous Wi-Fi settings.
Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
- Go back to the printer’s Settings.
- Select Network Setup or Wireless Setup Wizard (the wording may vary).
- The printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Choose your new Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password (ensure it’s entered correctly, as it's case-sensitive).
Use HP Smart App:
- If you're still having trouble, download the HP Smart app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Open the app and select Add Printer. Follow the prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to connect to.
Check Network Security:
- Ensure that your router's security settings (WPA2 or similar) are compatible with the printer. Sometimes, very high-security settings can cause issues.
Reboot Devices:
- Restart your printer, router, and computer (if applicable) to refresh connections.
Additional Tips
Temporarily Disable Security Software: Sometimes, firewalls or security software can block connections. Temporarily disabling them can help diagnose the issue (just remember to enable them afterward).
Firmware Update: Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check this through the HP Smart app or HP Support website.
Router Settings: Log into your router's settings and make sure that the SSID (network name) is broadcasting and not hidden. Also, check if MAC filtering is enabled, as it can prevent devices from connecting.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

HI Rachel,
The HP DeskJet 2700e printer does not have Setting button on the actual printer. I followed the reset instructions already to hold the Wireless and Cancel button together for 3 seconds. It doesn't do anything. I rebooted my router, doesn't work. I tried connecting as new printer via the app, it doesn't work.
You are giving instructions for a different series printer.
Is there any additional advice? Thanks.
