Deskjet 2700e will not hook up to internet

The printer HP Desk jet 2700e will not hook up to the internet.  It gets almost done and says an unexcepted error

Where does the error show up? Is it on HP smart on a smartphone?  Is the error on the PC when you're installing the driver?

If you print a network report does the report show that the printer is connected to the modem?

One or more of these videos might be helpful. You probably need to reset the printer and then decide whether you want to connect to the router or just do WiFi direct to the printer and not mess with the router.

The printer supports both the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz band.
You may want to force the printer to use only one band. This can prevent it from getting a different IP address depending on the band it connects to. Watch this video to see how to set the band.

Bypass setup cartridge 2775

You can get the PIN and any passwords from a printer report as described on page 9 of the users manual.
Page 22 shows how to use the WPS or push button method but you need access to the modem to be able to do this.
