Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had the same exact problem with me  Deskjet 2630 - I got the 4120 to replace it. Probably just spent £90 I didn't need to LOL!  The printer is in my network list as its own network so cannot be using my router? It works perfectly fine with my iphone, which I used to do the setup and is connected to the same router as my laptop (also HP). The HP Smart app see's the printer (s) but says not connected. Smart doctor same problem. Any ideas?

Hi@Kez82,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing printing issues with the HP DeskJet Printer.

I have a few recommendations

  • On your Windows computer, open Printers & Scanners and delete the printer. Open the HP Smart app, and sign in. If you do not have HP Smart, download it from 123.hp.com or your app store, and create an HP account.
  • First, try restarting your computer, printer and wireless router. To check if your printer is connected to your network: Print a Wireless Network Test report from the printer control panel. On many printers pressing the Wireless button allows direct access to printing this report.
  • Make sure your devices are properly connected with each other, and the network or the cable you use to connect these devices is normal. You can also try restarting your HP printer. Turn it off completely and unplug the power cord, leave it for a couple of minutes, and then plug the cord back and power on the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
