Help! My printer expired and now it won’t do print jobs! There is absolutely nothing wrong with the printer or ink. HP just keeps popping up that it’s expired!

Welcome to the HP English Community --

 

Perhaps the message is advising you that the printer Warranty is "expired".

 

An expired warranty does not impact how or whether the printer works.

 

Were it true that an expired warranty stops the printer from working, we'd be neck-deep in dead printers.

 

The "expired" notice might be coincidental (not related) to the printer not printing.

?

 

What else?

 

In general, "just won't print" is not enough to know why the printer is not working.

 

Hopefully the printer is aware there is a problem.

 

Frequently, when the printer is aware of an issue, the printer blink or issue a warning using colored lighting.

 

 HP DeskJet 2700, DeskJet 4100, DeskJet 4800 printers - Blinking lights and error codes

 

No weird blinking lights or Error codes?

 

Try starting both the printer and the device (computer, tablet, phone) you are using to issue the print job to the printer.

 

Still won't print?

No error messages?

Add a Restart of the router that controls your network,.

 

 

What else?

 

IF you have an Instant Ink subscription for ink replenishment ,

AND

If the message wording includes any reference to your Instant Ink account,

Then

The "expired" notice might indicate a problem with your Instant Ink account.

If yes, you have an Instant Ink subscription, Contact HP Instant Ink Support
