My HP 250 Mobile printer was working just fine a few days ago, but now it wont power on!
I've gone through all the troubleshooting tips of checking the power connection, removing the battery and plugging it into an outlet and trying to power it on with just the battery - but nothing will make it power on.
I don't have any paper jams or faulty ink cartridges and this printer is left in pristine condition, in a cabinet away from any dust that may collect
What other troubleshooting tips am I missing?

Hi @elveetran,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating that your HP 250 Mobile Printer isn't turning on despite your efforts. Since you've already tried basic troubleshooting, here are a few additional steps you can try.
Check the Power Button:
- Sometimes, the power button itself might be stuck or malfunctioning. Press it multiple times firmly to ensure it's not physically jammed.
Reset the Printer:
- Hard reset: With the printer unplugged and the battery removed, hold down the power button for 15-30 seconds to drain any residual power. After that, reconnect the battery and power it on.
Inspect the Charging Cable and Power Adapter:
- If you're using an external power supply (not just battery), try testing the power adapter with a multimeter to ensure it’s providing the correct voltage.
- Also, check for any visible damage to the charging cable or plug. Sometimes the cables can fray or the plug can lose contact.
Battery Check:
- Even though you've tried using just the battery, it might be worth testing the battery itself. If possible, test the battery in another compatible device, or try using a replacement battery (if available).
Try a Different Outlet:
- The issue might be with the power outlet itself. Try plugging the printer into a different outlet to rule out a faulty power source.
Check for a Firmware Issue:
- If the printer briefly powers on (e.g., lights flicker), it might be a firmware issue. Sometimes, a firmware update can cause issues, though this is rare. In such cases, a reset might help, or you may need to consult HP support to see if there’s an emergency recovery procedure.
Inspect the Internal Components:
- If you are comfortable doing so, try opening the printer (following the manufacturer's guidelines) to inspect for loose internal connections, especially to the power board or battery connectors.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
