Possibly it went to sleep and when it woke up it got a different IP address from the router.

Wi-Fi setup to router: video here and applies to the above also
For Wi-Fi direct setup click here.
This is useful if you have having problems with the router. This bypasses the router and prints directly to the printer.

Let me know if you have a flex system (Wi-Fi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is much more complicated when using the router type of connection.

After power outage, 3830 printer--which was the default printer--not recognized. "Offline." Tried lots of different things, this seemed to work:
1. With printer on, disconnected by removing plug. Important: Did not turn off printer first--just unplugged it.
2. Turned off all devices that used the printer (laptop, tablets).
3. Unplugged router, waited about a minute, plugged it back in.
4. Plugged printer back in. (It turned on without having to push "on" button.)
5. Turned on devices.
Printer recognized. Hope this helps.
