Hi @Kongor

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 4500 printer keeps going offline, here are some steps to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Connections

  • Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. If you’ve changed your Wi-Fi network or router, the printer may need to be reconnected.
  • USB Connection (if applicable): If using USB, make sure the cable is securely connected.

2. Restart Devices

  1. Restart Printer: Power off the printer, unplug it, wait for about 60 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on.
  2. Restart Router: Unplug your router, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

3. Update Printer Firmware

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer:
    1. Go to the HP Support website.
    2. Search for your printer model and check for updates.

4. Set Printer as Default

On Windows:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP Envy 4500 and select Set as default printer.

On Mac:

  • Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your printer and make sure it’s set as the default.

5. Disable Sleep Mode

  • Sometimes, sleep mode can cause the printer to appear offline. Check your printer settings to disable sleep mode or adjust the time settings.

6. Check Printer Status in HP Smart App

  • If you have the HP Smart app, check if it provides any additional information about the printer's status. Make sure the printer is connected and not showing as offline there.

7. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  1. Uninstall Existing Drivers:
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers and remove the printer.
  2. Reinstall Drivers:
    • Download the latest drivers from the HP Support website and install them.

8. Run the Printer Troubleshooter (Windows)

  1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  2. Select Printer and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix issues.

9. Check Firewall/Security Settings

  • Ensure that your firewall or security software isn’t blocking the printer. You may need to allow the printer through your firewall.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
