HP 60055e

Client reported that HP 6055e was working yesterday wirelessly from her Dell XPS 13 9350 laptop but the print was a bit light.  I installed new color and black ink cartridges from HP subscription services.  After install, alignment page printed only blue.  Windows test page prints only blue. Printer front panel info page prints blue with a few items in color, mostly blank with with a few blue icons on left margin, a black and red icon on the left margin, then hp.com/support/envy6000e in black near the bottom.  

HP Smart app is no help. Spins endlessly in a window that is not closeable.

I tried advice on this community to plug the printer directly to wall, remove cartridges, close door, remove power chord, reinstall power chord, swapped cartridges, but then was unable to find any touch tools to clean cartridges and align. Must be advice for a different printer.  

After several power cycles on the laptop and printer, I sometimes got a message that the printer was off line,  but it is in the printer list and will respond to Test Page requests but will not correctly print them.  The laptop is logged into WIFi router nearby, same as the printer was, but I can’t verify because the printer info page will not print correctly.

I tried to reinstall the printer device from HP but it bombed.  

Photos from the laptop will print but the colors are messed up. A Word document with only text printed blank.

 

Printing from my iPad wirelessly on this same router to this printer scanned documents and photos results in bad color mix, but text printing results in a blank page.  Printing from iPad using “Print with HP Smart” was no help.

HP cartridges new and old are 67/305.
