HP 7155 Photo Printer will not boot up. Screen symbol shows HP Logo with blue line below which progresses from left to right during the boot process and only shows one blue dot under the blue bar. The line proceeds across the full length and goes no further. Power button has no effect. Have try all of the power disconnect and cartridge removal recommendations. Still will not boot-up.

Hi @Whatnxt,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
It sounds like your HP ENVY Photo 7155 is stuck during the boot-up process. Since you've already tried disconnecting the power and removing the cartridges without success, here are additional steps you can try to resolve this issue:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
Sometimes, a hard reset can clear any minor glitches preventing the printer from booting properly. Here’s how to perform it:
Turn off the Printer: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet as well.
Wait for 60 Seconds: Leave the printer completely disconnected from power for at least 1 minute.
Reconnect the Power: Plug the power cord back into the printer and the wall outlet. Do not press the power button yet.
Wait for the Printer to Turn On Automatically: If the printer does not turn on by itself, press the power button. Allow the boot process to complete and see if it gets past the HP logo screen.
2. Remove All Cartridges and Reinsert
Sometimes, a cartridge issue can cause the printer to hang during the boot-up process. Here’s what you can do:
Turn off the Printer and unplug it from the wall.
Open the Printer and remove all ink cartridges carefully.
Check the Cartridges and Slots: Inspect the cartridges and the inside of the printer for any debris or ink leakage. Ensure the contacts are clean and the cartridges are seated properly.
Reinsert the Cartridges: Once inspected, reinsert the cartridges and close the printer cover.
Power on the Printer: Plug the printer back in and power it on to see if it completes the boot process.
3. Try a Power Drain
A more in-depth reset that drains any residual electrical charge in the printer can sometimes solve boot-up issues.
Unplug the Printer from both the power source and any connected devices (USB, Ethernet, etc.).
Hold the Power Button: Press and hold the Power button for at least 30 seconds to drain any residual electrical charge from the printer.
Reconnect Power: Plug the printer back in, but do not connect any other devices just yet. Turn it on and check if it completes the boot-up process.
4. Firmware Corruption
It's possible that the printer's firmware is corrupted and causing the boot issue. To resolve this, you may need to update the firmware, but if the printer isn't booting, you can try a forced firmware recovery.
Steps to Perform a Forced Firmware Update (if applicable):
Download Firmware: Go to the HP Support Page and search for the latest firmware for your HP ENVY Photo 7155.
Connect the Printer to a PC: Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
Run the Firmware Update Tool: Launch the firmware update tool and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware. This process may force the printer to reboot properly.
5. Check for Hardware Issues
If none of the above solutions work, the issue could be related to a hardware failure inside the printer, such as a failed logic board or other internal components.
If the printer still fails to boot after trying all of these methods, it may require service or replacement. Since you've already attempted several troubleshooting steps, it's advisable to contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
