Product: HP Color Laser 150nw

This is driving me crazy. Today, I bought an HP Color Laser 150nw, configured the network interface, and opened the EWS page. I made some changes and then set the default admin password to 32cxpBS^3YawL7Ev!zoB. Immediately after, I had to authenticate, but it doesn't accept my password. I'm 100% sure I entered it correctly (copy/paste from password generator). I suspect the EWS page has issues with special characters. I tried resetting the EWS admin password, but couldn't find any working instructions—only forum articles from users with the same problem.

 

Pressing and holding the wireless button only resets Wi-Fi settings, not the EWS password. I found one article where an HP engineer provided instructions that seemed to work, but it’s unclear what they were.

I spoke with HP Support, and they said the printer can only be reset to factory defaults through the EWS page, but I don't have the correct password.

Is there an HP engineer who can review Article link and provide the solution?
