Having been working before, on powering up again the printer remains offline - the blue light flashes continuously but does not change to constant blue. I have tried suggestions from HP's virtual assistant but without success (including WPS). Other devices connect successfully including two desktop computers, a laptop and two mobile phones. The only recent events of note are a new router (but I have also tried the previous router with the same result) and two recent short duration power cuts. I cannot use HP Smart because the printer is offline. Any suggestions to overcome this problem will be welcome or is the pinter wi-fi connection caput?

@c3nf, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
As you have a new wireless router, the printer has to be connected to the new network.
You may use the WPS button to connect the printer.
Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document - Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
- Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
- This printer supports WPA/WPA2 encryption, check if the router is on the same encryption method. If using WEP or WPA-PSK+FT change it to WPA-PSK
You may also refer to - HP printer setup (Wi-Fi network) and HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
Use the HP Smart app to print.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, but the printer has been working with the new router. Just to check, I reconneccted the original router but get the same result. I have also tried WPS but with the same result - i.e. the blue light just continues to flash.

@c3nf
Let us print a Wireless Test Report for information about the printer's wireless connection. The Wireless TestReport provides information about the printer status, hardware (MAC) address, and the IP address. If theprinter is connected to a network, the test report displays details about the network settings.
- On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button
and the Information button
at the same time.
- Both a Wireless Network Test Report and a Network Configuration Page print.
Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your help. The wireless test report shows 'The wireless radio on your HP printer is currently turned OFF'. HP Smart also shows that the printer is offline. I have followed the instrucions to turn on the wireless printer including pressing the wireless buton and cancel button for reset, but the wireless continues to flash blue. I have other devices (computer, laptop and mobile phones) that are all connected ok to the router.

@c3nf
If the printer's wireless radio is turned off, the blue light would not blink. It would be off.
If it is blinking, it means the wireless radio is ON but not connected to a network. Check the below picture:
Press the Wireless button to toggle On/Off. Once it is ON, follow the WPS method to connect the printer as mentioned in my first post.
Let me know how it goes.

Once again thanks for your help. I have tried WPS connection but unsuccessful. The sequence of events is as follows:
Switch printer on, blue light flashes but does not connect..
Press cancel and wireless button together to reset. Power light flashes and then wireless light flashes.
Hold down wireless button for 5 seconds. Wireless button shows continuous blue for short period and then begins flashing.
Press WPS button on router. Router WPS light begins flashing and printer wireless light continues to flash.but neither turn to steady.
After a minute or so, the printer Resume and Information lights come on. Press either and all printer button lights go off.

Thanks for all your help. I have tried HP Technical Support before but the printer is out of warranty so no support available. Guess the only thing I can do is to try to use the printer with a wired USB connection.
