HP ENVY 4500 air printer is the default printer on my Mac. It is on-line & prints okay. When I view system preferences to check the status of this printer, it comes up as: a "green dot" followed by "Idle last used". Should I be seeing another type of status such as "on-line" or "connected" or some other status?

Hi @Paul1NL,
I'd like to help!
The green dot or a green check indicates the printer is online and idle states indicate the printer is not performing any tasks at the moment.
Hope this answers your question.
