HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer

Hi everyone,

I am at a brick wall with this printer now. I have called the HP Tech Team and they are advising me that the issue is down to ISP. My printer was working fine up until Friday. Nothing has changed regarding ISP/ Router, no new passwords/ resets etc.

I called HP and they tried all sorts. I have entered the correct password on the WiFi numerous times and it still won't connect to the wifi, our wifi uses both 2.4GHz & 5 GHz, I have changed the settings to just 2.4GHz and it still won't connect.

The message that it constantly pops up with is:

The printer could not connect with to the server. Check the internet connection or the proxy setting.

Is anyone able to assist me, or has anyone experienced this before and managed to overcome it as I am at a complete loss 🙂

have managed to remove the constant message as mentioned on my previous message above. I have re-entered the wifi password, i have a solid blue light on the printer, however I am still unable to print, as printer is showing as 'offline'

How do I make the printer 'online'

I have never experienced anything so frustrating.

The only way that I was able to fix this was to take it to my mothers and connect using her wifi. Printer was able to update and is now working back at home. I paid for the technical help service and spent almost 2 hours on the phone with them as they was unable to assist me in rectifying the problem.

Pleased I was able to resolve this myself as I require the printer for work purposes.

I hope that no one else has the same issue that I have, and I hope that no one pays for a service that is unable to rectify said problem.

Hi @nikon77

I'm glad to hear that and you're most welcome. Do get back to us in the future for further assistance.
