Envy 5055
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have a MacBook Pro running Catalina and an HP Envy 5055 printer.  Both are on the same wireless network and both show that they are connected to it.  The printer appears in my printer list, but when I try to print, the computer can't find the printer.  I get an Offline message when I open the printer window.  The connection isn't totally lost, however, because I can get it to print the second time I try, either by pausing then resuming the print job, killing the job and reprinting or turning the wifi on my computer off then back on.  My wife can print from her MacBook, iPad and iPhone with no trouble and I can print from my phone with no trouble.  This was also an issue with a previous MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard.  When I switched to my new MacBook Pro it printed with no problem for a while, but then this started happening again.  It's too frustrating to keep dealing with since I'm using the printer at a home office.  I've tried deleting the printer and re-adding it, resetting the print system, deleting all HP software and reloading it, resetting the router and modem and everything else I can think of but this keeps happening.  Does anyone know why this keeps happening?
