Hi @Christine126,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 6000 series printer is having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Printer and Network Status

  • Make sure your printer is turned on and in a ready state.
  • Confirm that your Wi-Fi network is operational and that other devices can connect to it.

2. Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi

  • Access Wireless Setup:
    • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings.
    • Select Wireless Setup Wizard or a similar option.
  • Select Your Network:
    • Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
    • Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted
  • Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store or the App Store on your smartphone or tablet.Add Printer
    • Open he HP Smart app and follow the instructions to add your printer.
    • The app will guide you through connecting your printer to your Wi-Fi network.

3. Reset Network Settings

  1. Reset Printer’s Network Settings:
    • On the printer’s control panel, go to Wireless settings and look for an option to Restore Network Defaults or Reset Network Settings.
    • After resetting, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network using the steps above.

4. Check Wi-Fi and Printer Settings

Check Printer’s IP Address:

  • Print a network configuration page from the printer’s control panel to find its IP address.
  • Verify that the IP address is in the same range as your router’s IP address.
  • Confirm that the Wi-Fi feature is enabled on your printer. Some printers have a physical button or a setting in the control panel to enable or disable Wi-Fi.

5. Update Printer Firmware

  1. Check for Firmware Updates:
    • Go to the HP support website and search for your printer model.Download and install any available firmware updates.

6. Check Router Settings

  • Verify that your router’s settings are compatible with your printer. Ensure that the router’s 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bands are enabled, as some printers may only connect to one band.:
  • Check if your router’s security settings (WPA2, WPA3) are compatible with your printer. Sometimes, changing the router’s security mode can resolve connection issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
