Hi @fishguy1160,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 6055e printer is not connecting after a router and password change, and it's flashing every light, follow these steps to reconnect it to your network:
1. Restart Devices
- Power Cycle Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Restart Router: Unplug your router, wait about 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
2. Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi
- Use HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your device.
- If your printer is not detected, click on the + icon to add a printer.
- Follow the prompts to connect the printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
- Wi-Fi Direct Method:
- If the HP Smart app still doesn’t recognize the printer, you can try connecting via Wi-Fi Direct:
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button until the wireless light starts blinking.
- Connect to the printer's Wi-Fi network from your device (look for a network with “HP” in the name).
- Open the HP Smart app, and select Set Up New Printer. It should guide you to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- If the HP Smart app still doesn’t recognize the printer, you can try connecting via Wi-Fi Direct:
3. Use the Printer Control Panel
- If your printer has a control panel:
- Navigate to the Setup or Network menu.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard or similar.
- Choose your new network and enter the new password.
4. Reset Network Settings
- If you're still having issues, you can reset the network settings on your printer:
- On the printer, go to the Setup menu.
- Find Network Setup or Restore Network Defaults and follow the prompts.
- After resetting, try reconnecting to your Wi-Fi network using the methods above.
5. Check for Interference
- Ensure that the printer is within range of the router and there are no obstacles that could interfere with the Wi-Fi signal.
6. Update HP Smart App
- Ensure that the HP Smart app is up to date. Sometimes, an outdated app can cause connectivity issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
