We had to change our router this week and the network name also changed.  My LaserJet Pro M148fdw still wants to connect to my old SSID/network name.  I've tried everything suggested, I've tried downloading the manuals, Print and Scan Doctor software, videos, you name it and nothing seems to work.  There was one post of the resource page which indicated that I may need to reset the printer to the factory defaults and start from scratch, but I can't figure out how to do that and the post said that a message had to be sent directly to the person posing the question.  The wireless icon just blinks and never connects to anything.  Please help, because I can't print.  My husband has a Mac and seems to be able to print just fine as he connects directly.  Thank you!  Bronwyn Blackwood

If your husband is printing "directly" to the printer then it is in Wi-Fi direct mode.  I do not have your printer but I suspect it cannot be connected to the router and still be used directly.

 

You will have to connect using Wi-Fi direct unless your husband stops using the Wi-Fi direct mode.

In windows 11 bring up Printers and Scanners and find your WiFi direct printer name.  

Enter the password.

Expand the "windows direct" in this document to see how it is done.

If the printer does not show up AND THE REPORT SHOWS THAT IT IS IN DIRECT MODE then post back for more help.
