Hi @Shumbaa,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP M110w printer showing as "not connected" in the HP app and constantly flashing an exclamation mark could be due to several factors.
Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
1. Restart Your Devices
- Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Router: Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
- Computer/Smartphone: Restart the device you are using to connect to the printer.
2. Check Wi-Fi Connection
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure that your router's 2.4 GHz band is enabled, as many printers don't work with 5 GHz networks.
- Ensure that the Wi-Fi signal is strong where the printer is located. If the signal is weak, try moving the printer closer to the router.
3. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi
- On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi button until it starts blinking, then press the WPS button on your router. Wait for the Wi-Fi light on the printer to stop blinking, indicating a successful connection.
- Alternatively, you can use the HP Smart App to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can update the firmware through the HP Smart App or by downloading the latest version from the HP Support website.
5. Check Printer Status
- Open the HP Smart App or HP Printer Assistant on your computer and check the printer's status. If it still shows as "not connected," try removing the printer from the app and adding it back again.
6. Reset the Printer
- If the issue persists, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer. This will restore the printer to its original settings:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the Power button while pressing the Resume button three times.
- Release the Power button. The printer will reset itself.
7. Exclamation Mark Flashing
- The exclamation mark usually indicates a problem with the printer, such as low ink, paper jam, or a configuration issue. After following the steps above, check the printer for any errors or messages on its display or in the HP Smart App.

I have tried al the above steps, twice over and I still have the flashing exclamation mark.
My Hub shows the printer is connected to the network and has access to the internet. Restarted the hub several times as well.
Could the printer just be dead?
