@Marc659, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Network Connection Issues for HP Neverstop Laser 1000 Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Neverstop Laser 1000 printer is having trouble connecting to the network, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Blinking Lights Indications

Wireless button amber, Cancel button blinks

  • This indicates that an error occurred during Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) and the printer was not able to connect to the network.
    • Press the Cancel button Cancel button icon to clear the error, then try WPS setup again.

Attention light blinks, Resume light on

  • This might mean that the printer cannot detect the wireless hardware or the installed firmware is incorrect.
    • If the printer cannot detect the wireless hardware, service or replace the printer. To continue printing without a wireless connection, press the Resume button Resume button icon to clear the error, download the printer software if necessary, and then connect with a USB cable.
    • If incorrect firmware is installed, follow these steps to install the latest printer firmware:
      1. Press the Resume button Resume button icon to clear the error.
      2. Ensure that the printer is on and connected through your local network or a USB cable.
      3. Go to HP Software and Driver Downloads, and search for your printer.
      4. Select the correct operating system, then download and run the Firmware Update Utility.
      5. Select your printer from the drop-down menu in the utility and click "Send Firmware."
      6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation, then close the utility.

Wi-Fi Direct light blinks

  • This indicates that the printer has received a request to connect using Wi-Fi Direct.
    • Press the Wi-Fi Direct button Wi-Fi Direct button icon to accept the connection.

Attention light on

  • This indicates that the printer is in an error state.
    • Reset the printer by turning it off, waiting for 60 seconds, and turning it back on.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
