Hi @barrett7806,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network but isn't appearing in the AirPrint list on your iPhone, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
Verify Wi-Fi Connection:
- Make sure that both your iPhone and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes devices can connect to different networks (e.g., 2.4 GHz vs. 5 GHz), which can cause issues.
Restart Devices:
- Power cycle both your iPhone and the printer. Turn off both devices, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes updates can resolve connectivity issues.
Check Printer Settings:
- On the printer itself, ensure that AirPrint is enabled. You can usually find this in the printer's settings menu. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions.
Check AirPrint Settings on iPhone:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Go to "Wi-Fi" and ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on.
- Scroll down and tap on "AirPrint & Handoff".
- Make sure that "Allow Handoff between this iPhone and your iCloud devices" and "AirPrint" are both turned on.
Printer Software/Driver Update:
- Ensure that your printer software or driver is up to date on your computer. Sometimes updates can also affect network connectivity.
Restart Router:
- If other devices are having trouble connecting to your Wi-Fi network or if the printer's connection seems unstable, try restarting your router.
Reset Network Settings on iPhone:
- Sometimes resetting network settings on your iPhone can resolve connectivity issues. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note that this will erase saved Wi-Fi passwords.
Check for IP Address Conflicts:
- Ensure that there are no IP address conflicts on your network. Assigning a static IP address to your printer within your router's settings can sometimes help with stability.
Test with Another Device:
- If possible, try printing from another device to see if the issue is specific to your iPhone or if it's a broader connectivity issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
