HP Office Jet 8022 error state/offline

HP Office Jet 8020 series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just added new computer/printer today.  All went well until I tried using the printer.  It says it's connected but when trying to print I get the printer is offline.  I have followed steps posted to turn to online but I see no where on here to click from offline to online.  Turned off the wifi to printer and used usb cable to hardwire. Now it says offline still and I get a message saying the printer is in an error state.  I have tried contacting HP but the website says it is down. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

I did all of that, but it is saying wifi direct and I want to go through my wifi.  I can't get it to go online.  I think because I have gone through the steps numerous times, shutting down, unplugging etc all the steps suggested online, youtube for 3 days now I will just return this printer and get another printer.  I have never had issues installing a printer until this one.  Thanks for your help.
