Hi @LP3553,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Office Jet 8710 keeps going offline, there are several things you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart the printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check the printer connectivity: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If you are using a wired connection, make sure the Ethernet cable is securely plugged in. If you are using a wireless connection, check that the printer is connected to the correct network and that the network signal is strong.
  • Update printer drivers: Check for any available updates for your printer drivers and install them if necessary. This can help to resolve compatibility issues that may be causing the printer to go offline.
  • Disable sleep mode: Some printers automatically go into sleep mode after a certain amount of time of inactivity. This can cause the printer to appear offline. Check your printer settings and disable sleep mode if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
