Hi @AfsarkhanNQ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 printer is printing unexpected text or pages in large quantities without your command, here are steps to diagnose and resolve the issue:
Steps to Fix Unexpected Printing Issue:
Cancel Print Jobs:
- On your computer or device from which you usually send print jobs, cancel all print jobs in the print queue. This ensures that there are no pending jobs causing the printer to continue printing.
Check Print History:
- Review the print history or log on your printer’s control panel (if available) to identify if there are any queued or repeat print jobs. Clearing the print history can sometimes resolve the issue.
Restart Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 1-2 minutes, then plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can reset the printer and clear any temporary errors.
Check Network Connections:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your network and that there are no network issues causing unintended print jobs. Verify Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections as needed.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check for and install any available firmware updates for your HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 printer. Firmware updates can sometimes fix bugs or issues related to print functionality.
Factory Reset (if necessary):
- As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset on your printer to restore it to its default settings. This should be done cautiously as it will erase all custom settings and configurations.
Check for Malware (if printing from network):
- If your printer is connected to a network, ensure that it is secure and protected against unauthorized access or malware that could be sending print commands.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
