HP OfficeJet 6835 Won't Connect to Google WiFi

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently got Google Wifi to extend the reach of my home network. When I tried to connect my OfficeJet 6835, it couldn't connect; the network test results stated that the MAC address filtering might be enabled and therefore I needed to add the MAC address to my Google WiFi. The problem is, I don't think that the WiFi supports this. Any suggestions on how I can get this printer to connect?

Thanks!

@Doherty10, Welcome to HP Support Community!

To reconfigure the printer, follow the steps from the document HP Printers - No Connection after Router or Wi-Fi Settings Change.

Additionally, refer to the document Connect to a Wireless HP Printer for help.

If you still have issues, use the guided troubleshooter Troubleshooting | Wireless Printing Center for instruction to isolate and resolve the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi,

Thank you so much for your message. Unfortunately, the solution offered did not work. I printed the error report and received the following information:

"Your HP printer is unable to connect to your wireless router. MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup"

My problem is, Google WiFi doesn't have MAC filtering, so my problem is not yet solved.

@Doherty10

Thanks for replying!

Make and model of modem and router and any more networking equipment?

In the printer using the front panel, reset the printer back to Factory Defaults.

In the printer disable IPv6.  Make sure the printer is at least 5 feet away from the router.

Try again to connect with no security to your SSID with no password.   Status now?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
