I was gifted an HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 5e printer by my uncle. He says it has never been used, but it has gone through set up before. The touchscreen only has the Get HP software screen as an option. I’ve installed the software on my phone and on a laptop but neither can find the printer when prompted to do so. I’ve unplugged and restarted multiple times. When I go to settings on my phone and select wifi, my home wifi network shows up as well as a network that seems to be of the printer. The printer network asks for a password that I don’t have. I can’t navigate the touchscreen on the printer to connect to my wifi because it will not provide any option other than the Get HP software” screen. How do I return the printer to the original setup options?

If you do a full reset you may be asked to insert the original setup cartridges. If so, here is the setup bypass which might work, or might not.
Please let me know if any of this works or is helpful
