I have been using the printer for a while now and everything used to work ok. A few weeks ago internet services: HP ePrint and Scan to Email, that used to work fine, stopped working.

The printer is connected to local LAN. I have no problem connecting to it over the local LAN from other computers.

Other computers on the local LAN have no problem connecting to the internet.

However the printer fails to connect to the internet.

I tried reseting to factory defaults and reconfiguring the printer, but it did not solve the problem

Attached is the printout of the printer Web Access Test Results (note that this is a home environment so no proxy is required, all devices on the LAN connect to the internet with no proxy and no problem)

Anyone encountered such a problem before? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Noam

@noamf, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Have you checked with your ISP about the proxy server error? If not, kindly check to ensure there is nothing on the network side.

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printers - Cannot Connect to Web Services and the issue persists, it requires remote assistance.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region for further course of action.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your response. I followed all the steps in the link provided, but this did not solve the problem. I have no proxy defined internally or at the ISP. All computers connect to the internet without a proxy. The Printer still cannot connect to Web services, even though it can connect to LAN computers.

I will have to call my local support

Thanks,

Noam

@noamf I'm afraid the web services are down as it's being updated, if you continue to have issues using it in the next 2-3 days, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
