@CAD3956, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP OfficePro 8130s Series Printer Connection Offline!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP OfficePro 8130s series printer is showing as offline and you are unable to print from your computer, here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps:
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the network correctly. Check the printer’s display to verify the network status.
- If using Wi-Fi, make sure the wireless light on the printer is on. If not, try restarting your router and printer.
Restart Network Devices:
- Turn off your router, printer, and computer. Wait for a few moments, then turn them back on in this order: router first, printer next, and then computer.
Print Network Configuration Page:
- Print a network configuration page to ensure the printer is connected to the correct network. You can usually do this from the printer’s control panel.
Check IP Address:
- Ensure that the printer’s IP address matches the IP address specified in the printing computer.
Advanced Troubleshooting Steps:
Firewall Settings:
- Sometimes, firewall settings may block communication between the printer and computer. Temporarily disable the firewall and try printing again.
Reconfigure Printer's IP:
- Set a fixed IP address for the printer from the front panel. Navigate to Settings > Advanced Setup > IP Settings and select Manual to enter the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.
Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) using the printer’s IP address in your web browser. Ensure you are using a browser that meets the minimum system requirements and that JavaScript and cookies are enabled. If you can access the EWS but cannot print, it may be necessary to adjust firewall settings to allow network communication.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
