Hi @MASMNAIR,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there could be a few issues causing your HP printer and Bose Wireless Speaker to go offline or experience intermittent disconnections after your router was changed. Here are some common troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Restart Devices: Sometimes simply restarting your printer, speaker, and router can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off each device, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on, starting with the router.
- Check Network Settings: Ensure that your new router's network settings (SSID, password, security settings) are correctly configured. Sometimes devices fail to reconnect if there's a mismatch in these settings.
- Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Verify that both the printer and speaker are within a reasonable range of the new router and not obstructed by walls or other physical barriers. Weak Wi-Fi signals can cause devices to go offline or disconnect intermittently.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP printer and Bose Wireless Speaker. Updated firmware often includes fixes for connectivity issues and improves overall performance.
- IP Address Conflict: Ensure that there are no IP address conflicts on your network. Devices should have unique IP addresses assigned by the router. You can set devices to obtain IP addresses automatically (DHCP) to avoid conflicts.
- Network Congestion: If you have many devices connected to your new router, it could lead to network congestion. Try disconnecting some devices temporarily to see if it improves the stability of your printer and speaker connections.
- Firewall or Security Settings: Check if your new router has any firewall settings or security features that might be blocking communication between your devices. Adjust settings if necessary to allow the printer and speaker to connect.
- Reset and Reconfigure: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reset your HP printer and Bose Wireless Speaker to their factory settings and then reconfigure them to connect to the new router.
By systematically checking these potential issues, you should be able to identify and resolve the connectivity problems with your HP printer and Bose Wireless Speaker after the router change.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
