Hi @Jupiter15,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer is connected to your Wi-Fi and is working fine with your laptop, but your Android device (Galaxy 13) isn't able to detect it. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue.
Ensure Your Printer is on the Same Network
- Verify that both your Galaxy 13 and HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If they are on different networks (e.g., 2.4 GHz vs. 5 GHz), the Android device may not detect the printer.
Restart Devices
- Restart your printer: Turn it off, unplug it for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Restart your Android device: Power it off and back on.
- Restart your router: This can resolve network connectivity issues.
Check Printer Settings
- On your printer's control panel, go to Settings > Network Settings > Wi-Fi Status. Ensure the printer is connected and shows "Connected" under Wi-Fi status.
Reinstall the HP Smart App
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device, uninstall the HP Smart app if you already have it, then reinstall it.
- Make sure your Android's Bluetooth is enabled as the HP Smart app sometimes uses Bluetooth to detect nearby printers.
Re-add Printer in the HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app on your Galaxy 13.
- Select Add Printer.
- The app will search for nearby printers. If your printer is not detected, try using the manual IP address method:
- Go to your printer's Settings > Network Settings > Wi-Fi Network Summary and find your printer's IP address.
- In the HP Smart app, select Add Printer and choose Add Printer by IP Address, then enter the printer's IP address.
Verify Wi-Fi Direct
If the above steps don't work, try using Wi-Fi Direct to connect:
- On your printer, enable Wi-Fi Direct (Settings > Network Settings > Wi-Fi Direct > Turn On).
- On your Android phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and look for your printer in the available networks (e.g., "DIRECT-XXXX-HP").
- Connect to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network.
- Open the HP Smart app and try printing.

Reset Network Settings (if needed)
If your Android still can't find the printer, try resetting the printer's network settings:
- On the printer's control panel, go to Settings > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults.
- Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network and try the steps again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
