I am having troubles connecting to my wireless "Sky Broadband Hub" which was updated from the original router which was over 10 years old.

I have had Error MessageError Messagea look to see if there is a model number for the new router, but there isn't. The problem is that each time I enter the password that I got with the broadband hub to connect wireless to Sky box and other items.  But  the "HP Smart software" dose not recognized the password is not correct, but I have entered the password as shown on the card that has the password printed on and it is a match to the one that is shown on the back of the broadband hub. I get the following error message. (Incorrect password. Try entering it again). I have tried many times in entering the password and small changes but still has not worked.

Is there anyone out there have any ideas how to rectify the ongoing error, I have had to use a USB cable to use the printer to my computer which is a "ACER Nitro AN517-55 running Windows 11 Home 24H2, running  Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12450H   2.50 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable)"

The broadband hub is less than 5ft from the printer.

@Mac05, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like your HP Deskjet is struggling to connect to your new Sky Broadband Hub, even though the password is correct.

Your printer only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, but many modern routers use 5GHz or a merged network, which can cause connection problems. First, log into your router settings and check if 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is enabled. If your router merges 2.4GHz and 5GHz under one name, try renaming the 2.4GHz network separately and connect your printer to that.

If the password is still rejected, try using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) by pressing the Wi-Fi button on your printer until it blinks, then pressing the WPS button on your router.

You can also try resetting the printer's network settings by holding the Wi-Fi + Cancel buttons for 5-10 seconds, then reconnecting through HP Smart
