I can wireless print from laptop to Pro 7740. When I try to connect the HP Smart App with the printer, it states that an internet connection is required. I have reset the modem. Downloaded the app again. Restarted the printer. Laptop and Printer are connected to internet.
Im trying to scan from printer to laptop.

Check Printer Connection to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- On the printer's control panel, go to Network Settings or Wireless Settings and confirm the Wi-Fi connection.
- Print a network configuration report to verify the connection status.
Check Internet Connection on Laptop:
- Ensure your laptop is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Verify that your laptop has a stable internet connection by trying to access different websites.
Update HP Smart App:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart App installed on your laptop. You can update it from the Microsoft Store or the HP website.
Check HP Smart App Permissions:
- Ensure the HP Smart App has the necessary permissions to access the internet and your network.
- On Windows, go to Settings > Privacy > App permissions and ensure that the HP Smart App is allowed to access your network.
Firewall/Security Software:
- Check if your firewall or antivirus software is blocking the HP Smart App from accessing the internet. You may need to add an exception for the app.
- Temporarily disable the firewall or security software to see if it resolves the issue.
Restart All Devices:
