We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
When an HP Smart Tank 7305 printer connected to WiFi does not print after an electric interruption, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Restart Devices:
- Printer: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord for 15 seconds, then reconnect and turn it back on.
- Computer: Restart your Mac.
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure both the printer and the Mac are connected to the same WiFi network. Double-check the WiFi connection status on both devices.
- Printer: Confirm that the wireless light on the printer is solid blue, indicating connection to the network.
- WiFi Router: Restart the WiFi router by disconnecting the power cord for 15 seconds, then reconnecting it.
Re-add Printer in HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your Mac.
- Select "Add Printer" or the Add icon (plus sign) in the app.
- Follow prompts to reconnect the printer to ensure it is properly recognized.
Print Wireless Test Report:
- From the printer control panel, print a Wireless Test Report to check the network configuration and signal strength.
- Follow any troubleshooting steps indicated on the report.
Check and Update Firmware:
- Go to HP Software and Driver Downloads to check for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware if available.
Reset Printing System on Mac:
- Open the Apple menu and go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners."
- Right-click or Control-click in the Printers list and choose "Reset Printing System."
- Re-add the printer after the reset.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
