Hi @Ray7491,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Smart Tank 5106 shows “Ready to print” on the iPhone, but the job does not print. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Confirm the printer and iPhone are on the same Wi-Fi network
AirPrint requires both devices to be connected to the same network. Check the Wi-Fi name on the iPhone and compare it with the network shown on the printer or in the HP Smart app.

Cancel pending print jobs on the iPhone
Open the App Switcher, tap Print Center, and cancel any stuck jobs. A queued or frozen job can block new print requests even when it shows “Ready.”

Power reset the printer and iPhone
Turn off the printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Restart the iPhone as well to refresh the AirPrint connection.

Verify AirPrint is being used
When printing from the iPhone, make sure the printer name appears without “HP Smart” or “driver” labels. iPhones print using AirPrint, and selecting a non-AirPrint instance may cause jobs not to process.

Check paper and ink status on the printer
Even if the iPhone shows “Ready,” the printer may be waiting for paper, ink initialization, or internal calibration. Confirm there are no blinking lights or alerts on the printer itself.

Update printer firmware using HP Smart
Open the HP Smart app on another device and check for firmware updates. Outdated firmware can cause AirPrint jobs to stall without errors.

Reset the network connection on the printer
Use the printer’s wireless reset option to clear the existing Wi-Fi setup, then reconnect it to the network. This rebuilds the AirPrint profile used by iOS devices.

I hope this helps.
