Not sure that we can offer anything new...

What?

Having already tried "all possibilities" might mean the application is tangled up in the Windows File System.   This means that nothing short of removing that "block" will resolve the problem.

For Example,

If you already have a viable Restore Point, you could try "moving back in time" to when the application still worked.

System Restore (Windows 10, 8.x)

Reminder:  System Restore is NOT "Recovery".  Different animal.  Don't confuse the two.

What else?

Still having "Tried everything" and nothing works:

Application might be too deeply embedded in the File System to cleanly extract it.

This means you might have to reload Windows to actually fix the underlying problem(s).

This is your option - it is not mandatory - just something you can consider moving forward.

Anything else?

Not much.  Beyond uninstall / reinstall / setting a few options and permissions, applications are Windows controlled.

Some ideas - ignore if you have already tried...

Restart everything, including the router that controls your network.

Next,

Open a browser - log into your HP Account - check that your devices are listed as expected.

HP Account - Login / Dashboard

Next,

Uninstall HP Smart > Restart the computer and log in > Install the application from the Microsoft Store

Settings > Apps > Apps and Features

Search or scroll down and find HP Smart

Left-Click on the item > Uninstall

Restart the computer and log in

"Get" a new copy of the Application from the Microsoft Store

Hi,

I would also make sure the latest version is installed, such behavior may occur with older versions:

See 'Why can't I log into my HP account from the HP Smart app?' below:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04675142

If that doesn't help, I would also suggest checking for operating system updates, please let me know its exact version by right-clicking the Start menu, selecting System and there look for the Version section within the Windows Specifications section.

Good Point.

I did forget to tell the user why he should uninstall / get a new copy of the app.

Smiling.

Thanks.
